Our Story
Crotwell Disability Advocates was created to provide experienced, compassionate guidance to individuals navigating the Social Security disability process. When her former firm stopped handling Social Security cases, Christina “Christy” Crotwell opened her own practice so she could continue serving those clients—and others in need of knowledgeable, dedicated support through the disability process.
Before founding Crotwell Disability Advocates, Christy spent more than 5 years overseeing the entire disability section of a law firm. Her legal background began as a paralegal, with 15 years of experience in personal injury, class action, domestic matters, hurricane litigation, wills and succession, and Social Security case management. She also brings more than 8 years of focused experience in disability case management, giving clients the benefit of both a broad legal background and a deep understanding of the Social Security disability system.
In 2019, Christy was approved by SSA to represent claimants. She became accredited by the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR) in 2026. As an NADR-accredited Disability Representative, she is committed to helping clients move through the disability process with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care. Her experience allows her to guide clients through what can often feel like an overwhelming and frustrating system with clarity and confidence.
At Crotwell Disability Advocates, we believe clients deserve more than just case management—they deserve to be heard, respected, and treated with dignity. We strive to treat every client with the same respect and consideration we would want for ourselves if we were in their shoes. Our goal is to make a difficult process feel more manageable by providing personal service, responsive communication, and trusted advocacy every step of the way.

Christina “Christy” Crotwell is the founder of Crotwell Disability Advocates, a practice she established in May 2025 to continue serving Social Security disability clients after her former firm stopped handling Social Security cases. Christy opened her firm so she could continue helping those clients, as well as others seeking experienced guidance through the disability process.
From an early age, Christy was fascinated by the law. Watching shows with her grandmother—such as Perry Mason, In the Heat of the Night, and the early years of Law & Order—introduced her to the power of the legal system and sparked a lifelong interest in the profession. That passion led her to become a Certified Paralegal in 2006.
Christy brings a strong and diverse legal background to her practice, including 15 years of paralegal experience in personal injury, class action, domestic matters, hurricane litigation, wills and succession, and Social Security case management. She also has more than 8 years of focused disability case management experience and spent over 5 years overseeing the entire disability section of a law firm. In 2019, she passed the EDPNA exam, and in 2026 she became a National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR) accredited EDPNA. Christy also currently serves on both the Education Committee and the Conference committee for NADR, in addition to serving as a mentor for new disability representatives.
What Christy values most about her work is the opportunity to help people through difficult times. Whether she is guiding clients through the disability claims process, researching complex issues, or simply taking the time to listen, she finds the work deeply meaningful and rewarding. She has long been committed not only to helping clients navigate their claims, but also to connecting them with helpful resources in their communities when needed.
At Crotwell Disability Advocates, Christy manages all aspects of disability claims—from communicating with Social Security to working directly with clients to understand their unique situations. She believes clients deserve to be treated with respect, compassion, and consideration, and she strives to provide the kind of personal service she would want for her own family.
Outside of work, Christy has been married for 25 years to her high school sweetheart, Ronnie, and together they have two children, Ronin and Emilie. She and her family live in Luling, where they enjoy being part of a close-knit community. In her free time, Christy enjoys sewing, baking, cooking, DIY projects, Pilates, and spending quality time with family and friends.
